Integrative Psychotherapy

In-Person in Shorewood near Milwaukee, WI and Online

Therapy for Anxiety, Depression, and Trauma

I work with adults (18+) to heal anxiety, depression, trauma, and related challenges like low self-worth or relationship struggles. My integrative approach includes EMDR, IFS-informed therapy, and energy-based techniques to address root causes, alongside talk therapy and mindfulness or spiritual practices when helpful. Sessions are offered in-person in Shorewood or virtually.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) is a therapy modality that integrates cognitive, emotional, and somatic elements.  Many of my clients find EMDR especially helpful for trauma, anxiety, and intrusive thoughts.

  • How it works: During EMDR, the client brings to mind a painful memory while simultaneously engaging in bilateral stimulation (usually following a focal point moving back and forth with the eyes)

  • Why this matters: The bilateral stimulation seems to help the brain process “stuck” memories, reducing the emotional charge and physical distress linked to them.

  • What it’s used for: EMDR is widely recognized as an evidence-based treatment for PTSD, but it’s also used for anxiety, depression, phobias, grief, and negative self-beliefs.

  • The goal: To reprocess difficult experiences so they no longer feel overwhelming or defining, allowing the person to integrate them in a healthier, calmer way.

IFS-Informed Therapy

My approach draws on a 'parts work' approach inspired by Internal Family Systems (IFS). This perspective views each of us as having different inner parts—such as protectors, critics, or wounded younger selves—that carry important roles and stories. In therapy, I help clients get to know these parts with curiosity and compassion, so that healing and integration can unfold naturally.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness has been part of my life for over 25 years, including teaching and participating in multiple silent retreats. In therapy, I integrate mindfulness practices such as meditation, breath awareness, and gentle inquiry to support the healing process. These tools help clients cultivate presence, detach from unhelpful thought patterns, and create space to choose more supportive and compassionate ways of relating to themselves

Energy-Based Therapy

With extensive training in energy medicine, I guide clients in using techniques that work with the body’s subtle energy systems to support emotional and mental healing. This includes gentle tapping, breathwork, and mindful attention to points on the body. These practices help release tension, calm the nervous system, and create space for greater emotional balance, clarity, and well-being.

What to Expect in Your First Session

During your first session, my main goal is for you to feel heard and comfortable. I’ll invite you to share what brought you to therapy and may begin exploring your history to understand different aspects of your life. Sometimes even talking about these experiences can feel overwhelming or bring up anxiety or sadness. If that happens, I’ll guide you and provide tools to help you return to a calmer, more grounded state.

Sessions are 55 minutes and $175
